  • The Placer County Elections Office announced that vote-by-mail ballots for the November 4 special election have been mailed and that drop boxes—available at local sites in Roseville such as the Downtown Library, Maidu Library, Martha Riley Community Library, and Oriental Market—are now open; voters should check their materials for hours and deadlines and call the office if ballots are not received by Oct. 10.  Roseville Today

  • Placer County will host a free medication take‐back event on October 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—local agencies urge residents to use permanent drop‐box and mail‐in options for safe disposal.   • On Monday, a Roseville man died from West Nile virus, marking the first fatality this season in Placer County (he is the fifth West Nile death statewide), officials said.  KCRA
