Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 29th of August.
Good morning, Roseville.
🏘️ Community
Roseville police say that knowing your neighbors can help reduce crime—residents who connect are more likely to spot unfamiliar faces and report suspicious activity.
They advise that small actions like greeting neighbors build trust and create natural surveillance in the community.
🌲 Environment
Residents in Roseville are advised to check their risk of flooding from dam or levee failure by asking local emergency management if inundation maps are not available—advances in technology now secure this data despite earlier restrictions.
They should consider getting a free flood insurance quote if costs are projected to exceed $1,000 since typical home policies do not cover flood damage.
