- ➤ Roseville High School kicked off its football season on Friday against Antelope High School as coach and players carried out their push-ups-on-the-board tradition after each touchdown while staying hydrated in the hot weather. Melanie Wingo previewed the season—highlighting how the cheerleaders, band and principal rallied behind the team. KCRA

- ➤ Antelope High School made district history on Friday night when its varsity football team began the season with its first two female kickers—junior Olivia Richardson and senior Miley Phillips. Both said the team feels like a family while head coach Juwan Hurd hopes their presence will inspire other girls to join sports. KCRA
