- ➤ Kiki’s Chicken Palace announced Tuesday that it will close 10 locations — including the Roseville restaurant on Eureka Road — as they shift to independent operators over the next month. The Sacramento chain said rapid growth without the proper systems led to the changes and it will add new menu items soon. KCRA
- ➤ The Sacramento-based Kiki’s Chicken Place chain announced Tuesday that it will close 10 locations—including one on Eureka Road in Roseville—and that these sites will be rebranded as independent operators over the next month. KCRA
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Placer County Conservation Program recorded conservation easements on 4,245 acres known as Raccoon Creek Ranch north of Lincoln, protecting prime farmland, open space, and streams. Ecosystem Investment Partners worked with the county—securing restrictions to keep the land in agriculture and set plans for environmental restoration. Roseville Today

- ➤ Electric vehicle drivers in Roseville and across California will lose solo access to carpool lanes when the Clean Air Vehicle decal program ends at midnight on September 30—federal lawmakers have not extended the program. The DMV and California Air Resources Board said vehicles must then follow HOV rules and pay tolls to avoid fines. KCRA
