- ➤ KCRA 3 & My58 Television received the first Red Cross Community Hero Award from the American Red Cross California Gold Country Region by accepting a special retired volunteer vest with pins that honor its fundraising efforts during major wildfires — including the Northern California Wildfires, Butte Wildfire, Hayfork Fire, and the telethon for Hawaii. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Placer County Air Pollution Control District is offering residents a discount to change old wood stoves for cleaner, EPA-approved units—applicants can get up to $2,500 and even $5,000 if they qualify as low income.
