Good morning, Roseville.

KCRA 3 & My58 Television received the first Red Cross Community Hero Award from the American Red Cross California Gold Country Region by accepting a special retired volunteer vest with pins that honor its fundraising efforts during major wildfires — including the Northern California Wildfires, Butte Wildfire, Hayfork Fire, and the telethon for Hawaii. The station plans to continue supporting the local community with disaster relief work.

The Placer County Air Pollution Control District is offering residents a discount to change old wood stoves for cleaner, EPA-approved units—applicants can get up to $2,500 and even $5,000 if they qualify as low income.

Residents must submit details about their current stove and redeem the voucher at a participating retailer, with applications processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
