- ➤ Salvation Army Roseville will host a back-to-school giveaway on August 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at 100 Lincoln Street + free school supplies, jackets and shoes will be provided. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A man and a woman from Roseville died in a head-on crash on Highway 70 in Yuba County on Friday—Puneet Singh Sohi and Premjeet Brar, both 41, lost their lives when a Toyota lost control and struck a Honda, injuring four others including two children. KCRA

- ➤ A jury convicted former MLB pitcher Dan Serafini, 51, of first-degree murder, attempted murder and burglary after security videos (now available for public viewing) connected him to the ambush of his in-laws (Gary Spohr and Wendy Wood) on June 5, 2021 and he will be sentenced on Aug. 18. KCRA
- ➤ A vehicle pursuit that began at 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 80 for reckless driving in Penryn ended near Roseville Golfland Sunsplash + the male suspect pulled over and is in custody after reportedly calling the FBI + officials say it is unclear why he made the call. KCRA

- ➤ California Storm advanced to the final four in the Women’s Premier Soccer League after winning back-to-back shutout games in the West Regional playoffs — the Sacramento region-based team will face Chattanooga FC in the semifinals on Friday in Stillwater, Oklahoma as they aim for another title.
