The 5th Annual Placer County Fair Rib Cook-Off will take place on June 29th at the renovated fairgrounds in Roseville+ competitors will test their BBQ skills as they vie for the top prize at the event.

Fireworks sales in Sacramento begin today at multiple tent locations on Broadway and Capitol avenues—fireworks without a safe and sane label are illegal in Sacramento and all fireworks are banned in Placer County, which includes Roseville.

The sale comes as the Fourth of July is a week away.
