Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 26th of June.
Good morning, Roseville.
The 2026 Placer County Fair is underway at the Grounds in Roseville through Sunday and features 12 concerts, 22 carnival rides, a fair-within-a-fair with 100 vendors, an ag tech expo on Saturday, and a rib cookoff on Sunday (admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children, and $8 for seniors/military).
Roseville will celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at the Grounds on July 4 at 9:15 p.m. Seating will be offered in the All America Speedway along with games, concessions and $15 parking, while nearby counties plan parades, concerts and fireworks to mark Independence Day.
Global earthquake warning systems have evolved to alert millions before shaking starts — for example, California’s ShakeAlert promptly notified over 4 million people during recent quakes.
Roseville locals using these rapid alerts benefit from extra seconds to drop, cover, and hold on during tremors.
