  • Crews responded Wednesday afternoon in Soda Springs after reports that three people entered the water and did not resurface—officials say the search involves the Sheriff’s Dive Team, CAL FIRE’s Technical Rescue Team, and CHP’s helicopter in the challenging remote terrain—and continue to work the area.  FOX40

  • Today relief from the heat brings rising onshore winds that increase the grass fire risk from open flames in our area. Friday will be the windiest day with gusts reaching 40 mph in the delta and up to 50 mph in the Sierra—Saturday will have lighter winds with a dry north breeze that keeps humidity low.  KCRA
