Residents in Placer County are under mandatory evacuation orders after the Riosa Fire ignited near Sheridan on June 15—orders cover borders along Old Highway 65, Nader Road, and 10th Street/Ranch House Road, and evacuees may shelter at Sheridan Market—while firefighters work to contain the blaze that burned 40 acres and reached 20% containment by 1:50 p.m.

Crews battled a vegetation fire near Riosa Road in Sheridan on Sunday & the fire burned about 40 acres before firefighters halted its progress and lifted evacuation orders.
