CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Roseville police set a perimeter in a neighborhood after a suspect fled on foot from a traffic stop— they focused their efforts near Sierra Boulevard and Yosemite Street while trying to contact the individual wanted for evading police and an alleged DUI. KCRA
- ➤ Three people were arrested in Placer County for stealing $15,000 worth of deodorant from Safeway and CVS between March and April—police recovered $50,000 in stolen toiletries including shampoo and toothpaste. FOX40
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Placer County Water Agency board approved a $5.5M contract on June 5 to replace three to four vulnerable pipeline crossings under I-80 that carry water from the Boardman Canal. Design work occurred in spring and will continue through summer, and construction is set to begin early 2026 (the project is part of a long-term plan to secure water reliability). Roseville Today
