ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Eastbound Interstate 80 near Blue Canyon was closed after a vehicle fire was reported near the Blue Canyon Road offramp at 4:50 p.m.—it is unknown if any injuries occurred and drivers were advised to use alternate routes. KCRA
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The National Weather Service and local meteorologists have issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. today to 11 p.m. Saturday as temperatures in the Sacramento Valley are expected to reach 100 to 105 degrees, and outdoor workers or those planning outside activities should adjust their schedules accordingly—Roseville residents are urged to stay cool in the rising heat. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Roseville presented its Fiscal Year 2025-26 proposed budget for public review, totaling $827 million—$236 million for the General Fund and $591 million for utilities and special districts. The budget addresses rising labor costs, maintains current service levels by adding positions to public safety, recreation, fire services and infrastructure projects, and a budget hearing is scheduled for June 18 at 6 p.m. at the City Council Chambers on Vernon St. Roseville Today
