- ➤ Sutter Health received national accreditation for a new neurology residency program at its teaching hospital in Placer County that will train 12 residents starting in July. - ➤ The American Cancer Society will host the inaugural Culinary Campaign to End Cancer at Black Walnut Estates in West Sacramento on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.—local chefs including Chef Q Bennett of Roseville’s Q1227 Restaurant will serve 10 dishes using cancer-fighting ingredients, with live demonstrations such as ginger garlic lamb chops. - ➤ Roseville Iron Rose FC will start its second season on Saturday, April 26 at West Park High School with a men’s match against Albion SC and a women’s team returning from a successful season in the TLFC and WPSL.
