About this event
Watercolor Brushwork: Fall Leaf Motifs
Build confidence with your watercolor brush and learn how a few simple strokes can turn into beautiful fall foliage!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll start with a guided worksheet to practice brush control using a larger round brush. You’ll learn how to use the belly, tip, and natural shape of your brush to create leaves, follow curves, vary pressure, and build flowing botanical shapes.
Once we’ve practiced our strokes, we’ll bring everything together to paint a fall leaf motif in brilliant autumn colors. If you have a watercolor journal, we encourage you to bring it and create your finished motif right in your journal. If not, watercolor paper will be provided.
Worksheets and leaf references will be provided, and we’ll be working with our studio’s basic watercolor pan sets, so there’s no need to bring your own pigments.
Beginner friendly. No previous watercolor experience required. All supplies included.
A great class if you’re looking to loosen up your brushwork, gain confidence with a round brush, and learn how to create expressive leaves without having to carefully draw each one first.
