About this event

HER MAJESTIC LIFE is an original devised play created by the Matriarchy Theatre ensemble of artists: actors, dancers, choreographers, directors, musicians, visual artists, writers, designers, activists and visionaries. Through a devising and creative process led by co-director Nicole C. Limón, and co-directed with Angela Dee Alforque, the piece is a collaborative exploration of femininity, sisterhood, joy, comfort, community care, and the life we cultivate when the matriarchy leads. HER MAJESTIC LIFE is theatre, dance/movement, storytelling, song, and ultimately - ceremony. Join us for an intimate and uplifting experience, a much needed moment of joy and healing for the community.

Performing Ensemble: Cassie Alcudia, Diana Argueta, Kim Contreras Hoehn, Julie Bernadeth Crumb, Roxana Damas, Linda McElroy, Janey Pintar, Lorena Rodriguez, Devin Valdez

*Come ready to SPARKLE! There will be a Sparkle Station in the lobby to add some glitter and shine to your day. We invite you to come adorned in way that makes you feel MAJESTIC ( maybe that outfit you've been wanting to wear?!) and/or add some glitter and joy to your day at the Sparkle Station in the lobby, prior to the show.

See you at the theatre!

HER MAJESTIC LIFE is co-produced by Matriarchy Theatre and Teatro Espejo, with support from the California Arts Council, the Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture, and the City of Rancho Cordova CEI Fund.
