We are absolutely thrilled to announce the 2026 Fall Professional Development Even t! Join us for a hands-on, high-energy Self-Defense Class hosted by a seasoned instructor from UpLift Martial Arts . Whether you're commuting by bus or train, using a rideshare service, attending a public event, or simply navigating daily life, this session aims to provide useful skills and greater confidence in responding to everyday situations. Get ready to master skills that will leave you feeling confident to own your space!

During this workshop, you will learn to:

• Recognize and Avoid Potential Threats - Improve your situational awareness and identify warning signs early.

• Set Strong Boundaries - Utilize confident body language, effective positioning, and clear verbal communication.

• Respond Under Pressure - Develop simple, instinctive responses that are easier to recall in stressful situations.

• Escape Common Grabs and Holds - Practice practical techniques for breaking free and creating distance from attackers.

• Use Effective Defensive Strikes - Learn basic striking techniques and identify appropriate target areas.

• Create an Opportunity to Escape - Understand that the primary goal of self-defense is to disengage, reach safety, and seek help.
