Watercolor Wednesday Morning - Amanita Study

About this event

Watercolor Wednesday: Amanita Mushroom

Join us for a morning Watercolor Wednesday as we paint a beautiful Amanita mushroom study .

In this guided class, we’ll explore masking fluid to preserve those signature white spots while practicing warm and cool highlights, layering, shadows, and color transitions to give our mushroom dimension.

We’ll be painting with Daniel Smith watercolors on Arches 100% cotton watercolor paper , and reference photos will be provided.

All supplies are included, including Daniel Smith watercolor dot cards, Arches paper, brushes, and masking fluid. If you have your own favorite pigments or brushes, you’re always welcome to bring them along.

This class is best for those who have some basic familiarity with watercolor and are ready to continue building their skills.

Brand new to watercolor? If you’re incredibly new to the medium and want to learn the fundamentals first, please join us for our Watercolor 101 class , offered monthly and sometimes twice a month.
