About this event

This is the Sacramento CERT Wildland Fire Urban Interface class sponsored by the Sacramento Fire Department.

This class is required for all members seeking to become FEMA CERT Volunteer Type 1 or 2 with the Sacramento CERT program.

This class will instruct students on the dangers of California’s wildland fire environment, wildland fire behavior, and how to properly deploy a fire shelter.

Please arrive wearing long pants, boots you plan on wearing when deployed, and your full PPE kit. Fire Shelter Training requires training in the clothing/gear you would be wearing when in the field.

We look forward to seeing you in class!
