Type: Hike a loop

Cool Features: Lots of wildlife, nice river views and of course YOU!

Description: We meet in the parking lot adjacent to the Ancil Hoffmann golf course. After introductions, we hike trails around the golf course, along the river, through the Preserve and back to our beginning point. We alternate our direction each week.

Parking at the golf course is free.

This hike will take place rain or shine and if the trail is muddy or flooded, we will take an alternate route on the blacktop.

Elevation Gain/Loss: Climb to 30 feet Terrain: Service Roads and Hiking Trails Distance: Your choice 2-5 Miles – Let your leader know if you want to hike less than the full 5 miles. Fitness Level: Able to hike for an hour without rest.

Things to bring: Willingness to up your fitness level. Ability to find your way if the group moves faster or slower than you. Water, snacks, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, appropriate footwear for safe travel on the surfaces of the hike (Hiking Trail).

Dogs are prohibited in the Nature preserve, so please do not bring yours. This hike is not suitable for young children.

Restrooms and drinking fountains are available.
