Exploration: Creative Movement (Ages 3–7) Creative Movement is the perfect first step into the world of dance and movement. Designed for young children ages 3–7, this imaginative and engaging class uses play, storytelling, music, games, and creative exploration to develop fundamental movement skills while fostering a love of movement and self-expression. Students will explore a variety of movement concepts including rolling, crawling, jumping, balancing, turning, skipping, stretching, and traveling through space. Through age-appropriate activities, children build coordination, mobility, flexibility, strength, body awareness, and confidence while developing important social and cognitive skills. This class introduces elements from many dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, acro, and creative movement, providing a well-rounded foundation that prepares students for future Discovery-level classes. Rather than focusing on technique, encourages curiosity, creativity, and joyful movement while helping children develop the physical skills needed for successful participation in dance and athletic activities.
